Treatment
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy involves meeting 1:1 (virtually or in-person) with a psychologist to engage in collaborative, evidence-based treatment with the goal of alleviating distress/increasing distress tolerance and improving psychological functioning. We currently offer individual therapy services for children and adolescents who struggle with the following concerns:
Anxiety
Low mood/depression
Adjustment problems
General stress
Behavioural difficulties
Parent Coaching
Parent coaching involves parents meeting with a psychologist to learn evidence-based strategies for parenting a child with various behavioural challenges or psychological needs (e.g., anxiety challenges in cases where the child is too young to meet 1:1 with the psychologist). Parent coaching is a collaborative experience between parents and the psychologist and typically follows a positive parenting/attachment-based parenting approach.
